Implant Retained Dentures
Dentures can give an excellent appearance and are a good option for many people.
Securing Dentures With Implants
Unfortunately, some people struggle to wear dentures as they can move when you open and close your mouth. This can make it more difficult to eat food that you enjoy and can reduce your self confidence if they move when you speak.
For most people it is the lower denture that causes more problems, as there is usually limited gum in your lower jaw for the denture to sit on. Dental implants can be used to help stabilise a denture making it feel more secure in your mouth. This can give you a stronger bite back and help rebuild your confidence.

FAQs
How many implants would I need?
Where possible we would recommend 4 dental implants to support a denture for the most secure fit. It is possible to stabilise a denture with only 2 implants but this is better suited for patients that have been using a denture for many years and simply need it to feel a bit more secure.
After a thorough assessment we can assess which option would work best for you.
How long do implants take to heal?
Once in place, the dental implant needs a few months to fuse with your bone and then we can make the porcelain crown to replace your missing tooth. On average it can take between 4 to 6 months to have your treatment completed.
